We invite you to personally meet the mysterious and charming Old Riga in the company of a personal guide, as well as to try 4 sorts of local beer and national dishes in a medieval tavern!

Your personal guide will be at your full disposal for 2 hours and will present the historic objects which the old town is so famous for. Prepare yourself for exciting stories, informative historic facts, century old legends and secrets of the city. Riga’s old town is considered to be one of the most beautiful old districts in Europe, so be sure to bring a camera for both snapshots and videos, because our sightseeing route includes the most vivid places in town.

You will meet the guide at the Tourist Information center (located in the House of Blackheads) in Old town at a time which suits you most. During the tour you will come face to face with such historic and architectural beauties as the Riga Cathedral, the Cathedral square, the Statue of Liberty, the Bastill Hill, the National Opera, the Powder Tower, Jacob’s Barracks, the Swedish Gates, the City Hall square, the Riga Exchange, the Livonian square, Three Brothers, the Lutheran Church of St. Peter and the House of the Blackheads.

After a pleasant walk and getting to know the city a bit the guide will lead you to a medieval tavern, which is situated in the middle of old town in the basement of ancient military barracks opposite the Swedish Gates. There you will be able to worthily praise the taste of real Latvian beer and local dishes from four historical regions of Latvia – Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme and Latgale. The recipes have not been altered for centuries and you will have a unique possibility to try all of them in one go. Friendly waiters in national costumes will tell you the story of each and every drink, giving some insight into their properties, brewing locations and the proper purposes to drink them.
