Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

Float past the beautiful palaces and bridges of Venice on a 35-minute Venice gondola ride and enjoy a serenade, too. Select an afternoon or evening ride, and then see the sights of the city from the impressive Grand Canal. Aboard a traditional wood-carved gondola boat, look out for top Venice attractions such as Rialto Bridge and listen to Italian songs; it’s a must-do Venice experience!

Choose from one of four start times, and then hop aboard your traditional gondola near Santa Maria del Giglio Square in central Venice. Each boat seats six people, but you will travel in a flotilla of eight gondolas in total. Aboard one of the boats in your flotilla is a musician, whose job is to serenade you as you ride around the Grand Canal.

Sit back, listen to the romantic Italian songs and gaze at the landscape of Venice that surrounds you. The Grand Canal (or Canalazzo, as the Venetians may say) is an ancient waterway that meanders through the city, cutting in front of some of the city’s finest buildings.

Admire enchanting palaces such as the lavish Palazzo Barberino and other Renaissance buildings that line the canal banks as well as the Grand Canal’s other traffic; private boats, vaporetti (water buses) and water taxis are all common on this bustling stretch of water. Look out for iconic Venice attractions such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Rialto Bridge, a stunning marble crossing designed by one of the most prominent Italian architects of the 16th century – Anthony da Ponte.

After 35 minutes of gliding back and forth around the Grand Canal, return to the pier near Santa Maria del Giglio Square, where your gondola ride finishes.
