The Vasari Corridor is a private passage built by Giorgio Vasari for the Medici family to connect the centre of political power, Palazzo Vecchio, to the residence of the Grand Dukes, Palazzo Pitti. Now it hosts the most famous collection of selfportraits of artists in the world. The corridor is now closed to the public but it is possible to arrange a private opening to visit this special walkaway.
