The tour of the Uffizi Gallery in Florence is a classic not to be missed. This is one of the most visited museums in the world, a journey in painting from the Middle Ages to the eighteenth century, with paintings mainly focused on the Renaissance of Florence and Tuscany. Some of the prominent works of the Gallery are the Venus and the Primavera by Sandro Botticelli, Michelangelo's Doni Tondo, the Annunciation by Leonardo da Vinci and Titian's Venus of Urbino, as well as the Diptych of the Dukes of Urbino by Piero della Francesca and Medusa and Bacchus by Caravaggio.
It's worth staying in the gallery after the tour to wander through the rooms in the relaxing blue of the rooms of the foreign painters. They are newly restored and part of the so-called "New Uffizi".
