VILLA TARANTO
Born from a passion for botany of Captain Neil Mc Eacharn in the '30s, the gardens of Villa Taranto are the most beautiful botanical gardens of Europe, a journey in color and variety of plants from all over the world.
Since 1952, the gardens are open to the public, while the villa is the prefecture of the province.
The park covers 16 hectares and, depending on the season, you will see different flowers, for example from 15 to 25 April is the tulip week with 80,000 bulbs of tulip in flower, and then the dahlias.
And then the queen of the lake: the camellia with 400 varieties and the rhododendron.
A spectacle of nature!
PALLANZA
City on the banks of Lake Maggiore, with a beautiful promenade, you can admire the Borromeo Gulf, and even Villa Giulia, with a beautiful public garden and the Renaissance church of San Leonardo.
