Messina tourist bus

Two route with one ticket! Messina lies on the far North Eastern side of Sicily, on the lower slopes of the Peloritani Mountains. Though Messina was battered with bombing raids in 1943 and has suffered several earthquakes during its history, it is still a beautiful City. It has much cultural and artistic heritage such as its Norman - style Duomo, almost entirely re-built after the earthquake of 1908. Make sure to visit Piazza del Duomo at noon to see the world's largest astronomical clock. It comes to life with mechanical figures and music and has a 60-foot bell tower dating back to 1933, built in Strasbourg. Messina boasts a nationally renowned University, botanical gardens and a thriving Institute of Marine Biology.

Start point: Route A and Route B: Piazza del Duomo. You can Hop On and Hop Off at any of the following stops of Line A: 1. Capolinea Piazza Duomo; 2. Via Garibaldi; 3. Viale della Libertá; 4. Viale San Marino; Line B: 1. Capolinea Piazza Duomo; 2. Cristo Re.

Route A: 50 minutes; Route B: 90 minutes.

Start or opening time

Tour operates every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 16 April - 30 September 2011. Departures every 60 minutes, for Route A from 09:00 am till 02:00 pm; for Route B from 09:30 am till 01:30 pm.

Depends on the client´s stops. Ticket validity: 24 h.
