Independent Florence Day Trip from Rome by High-Speed Train

Spend a day in Florence on this independent day trip from Rome by high-speed train! After starting the experience with a hotel pickup, travel from Rome Tiburtina Station to Florence Santa Maria Novella Railway Station in roughly 1.5 hours. Then, explore the city independently to see the Florence attractions and sights that you want to see before returning to Rome. Leave your Rome hotel by air-conditioned coach or meet your host at the meeting point to travel to Rome Tiburtina Station. Your host will board the high speed train to Florence with you for your morning departure. Sit back and relax in your comfortable, standard-class carriage for the duration of your 1.5-hour journey to Florence, Italy’s second city. Steeped in history and art, Florence embodies the romance of Italy and is home to many of the world’s greatest architectural treasures.

How you spend your time in the city is up to you! Perhaps visit Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David sculpture, or visit Florence Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori) to climb up Brunelleschi’s Dome. Relax in Boboli Gardens, stroll through bohemian Oltrarno or soak up the views from Piazzale Michelangelo. Entrance fees are at your own expense.

Your meeting point to return to Rome is Piazza del Duomo. Your host will show you the exact point to meet in the evening. At your arrival to the station, you will be transported to your city center hotel or the meeting point.

Alternatively, upgrade to include an 1-hour walking tour of Florence to see big-name sights such as the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Duomo (exterior), Porta Paradiso and learn about the city history.
