1st Day

Arrival and accommodation in Putignano. Your hosts will be local families who will make their houses available to you.

2nd day

Guided tour along the tiny streets and the trulli of Alberobello where we will discover numerous parlour shops and local handicrafts. Followed by visits to the Handicraft Museumand the Oil museum. Then you will be transferred to nearby Locorotondo to visit a small textile workshop. Traditional lunch at a restaurant. Return to Putignano, the famous city of the ancient Carnival. Here we will get to know stories and traditions linked to this celebration and watch a show on howpapier-maché is manufactured.

Return to your family and dinner.

3rd day

Guided visit to Matera, the city of Sassi with its wonderful location. Lunch in Matera. In the afternoon you will visit the Castellana Caves. Followed by a walk around Polignano a Mare where you will view the marvellous city seashore.

Return to your family and dinner.

4th day

Free day with arrival in Lecce. Accommodation and dinner in hotel.

Optional excursion FD:

Departure for Ostuni, known as the White Town, truly the architectural and historical jewel of central Apulia. Lunch in Ostuni. In the afternoon we will travel to Lecce to visit the notable city of Apulian baroque. We will make a special tour of the city parlour shops and workshops. A real “shopping tour” of the truly authentic.

5th day
Free morning

Departure for Galatina, the heart of the tarantismo phenomenon. We will visit the Mother Church, one of the biggest churches of the Lecce baroque, and the Saint Paul Chapel. Visit and tasting of Apulian wine and oil on a farm with strong aperitif. Visit to Otranto, the Gate to the East.

Return to hotel and dinner at the facility restaurant.

6th day

Free day

Optional excursion HD

Tour of farmhouses in the Terra d’Arneo and visit to a farmhouse for cheese tasting.

7th day

Departure for Bari airport.
