Cosenza - The Ancient City Centre

Our tour starts with a walk that takes us up to the Norman Castle. We visit and describe it only from the outside:  it cannot visited inside because of the renovations.

Admiring the view of the city of Cosenza from above, we'll descend walking along the narrow streets of the historic center that will lead us to the Cathedral of Cosenza recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO culture of peace witness. The cathedral, Shrine of Our Lady of Pilerio, is the main place of worship of Cosenza.

After a little coffee break in an ancient bar in the middle of the historical centre, we will resume our journey visiting the square XV March where is the theater Rendano and we will close the tour with a walk in the streets that after crossed the river Crati, will bring us to the main course of Cosenza, corso Mazzini.

Here we'll end our tour  in the shops and bars that form a real «living room» in the great pedestrian area where, between a purchase and the other, immersed in the frenzy of the city, you can admire the «Outdoor '’Bilotti » museum. The Museum is unique in its kind in Italy and, among others, has in its collection the sculpture of «St. George and the Dragon» by Dali.
