A Day with Michelangelo

Some of the most famous works by Michelangelo are in Florence. This tour is dedicated to Michelangelo, his works, his life. We visit together the Academy Gallery, where “David”, the “white giant”, is conserved and we have the opportunity to admire very close   this masterpiece of sculpture: the Beauty and Perfectness sculpted in marble. Together with “David” in the same room stand the “Prisoners”, extreme synthesis  of Michelangelo’s thought about sculpture and mankind: it’s necessary to free soul from material. Our tour continues in the New Sacristy, inside the Medici Chapels, where Michelangelo made eternal the Medici’s sleeping with the allegories of Day and Night, Dawn and Dusk.
