Wicklow Glendalough Trim Castle day tour from Dublin

Enjoy a full-day outing in the Irish countryside on our tour of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, the ancient monastic city of Glendalough and Europe’s largest Anglo Norman Castle at Trim.

You’ll travel in the comfort of an air-conditioned Mercedes Benz vehicle from Dublin. Our professional tour guide will show you the best of County Wickow and take you on a tour of Trim in County Meath as well.

Our route for the day takes in the famous Guinness Lake (Lough Tay) and estate, and also travels through the Spectacular Wicklow Gap. You’ll see Blessington Lakes where the popular movies “PS I Love You” and “Braveheart” were filmed. The Wicklow Gap Road is 1 of the 2 routes that crosses the Wicklow Mountains from east to west — the other being the road through the Sally Gap in North Wicklow.

On the way to Sally Gap, you’ll have spectacular views of the Wicklow Mountains. This narrow road passes above the dark waters of Guinness Lake – which are actually similar in color to a pint of Guinness stout.

You’ll visit Trim, a heritage town in County Meath, and your guide will take you on a tour of the medieval castle that served as a film set for the movie “Braveheart”.
