Set amongst dense forests of oak and pine trees, Sattal is one of the few unspoiled and unpolluted freshwater biomes in India. These lakes are a paradise for migratory birds. It is home to a few camps being operated mostly by local people catering to tourists looking for outdoor vacations.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi, Drive to Sattal (296 kms / 8 hrs)

On arrival at New Delhi International / Domestic airport, our representative will meet you and later transfer to Sattal.

Sattal -Situated in the enchanting Himalayan Ranges of the Kumaon region, Sattal (Seven Lakes) is an interlinked group of seven mesmerizing freshwater lakes located in the Nainital province of Uttarakhand. It serves as a tranquil haven to the tourists who visit the place to enjoy the picturesque exquisiteness. The town is one of the few unblemished and uncontaminated freshwater biomes in India. There are large numbers of oak and pine trees forming the lush and dense forests. The beautiful lakes are just beyond the imagination of the tourists and serves as a paradise for the bird watchers. On arrival at Sattal, check into your pre – booked hotel.

Evening is free for leisure activities.

Day 2: Sattal Local Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast, proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Sattal and visit below places.

Bhimtal Lake - Bhimtal is popular for its Bhimtal Lake, which is bigger than Naini Lake and provide good boating facilities (on direct payment basis). Bhimtal supports a wide variety of aquatic life and some Trans Himalayan birds during the winter. Lying at an altitude of 4500ft, 22 km from Nainital, the lake is surrounded by the Kumaon hills all around. It received its name from Bhima, one of the Pandavas from the epic of Mahabharata.

Sattal (Seven Lakes) - The town has derived its name for being abode to seven successive lakes. All the seven lakes are filled with pure water majorly by underground springs. Ram Tal, Lakshman Tal, Sita Tal, Nal Damyanti Tal, Purna Tal, Panna Tal and Sukha Tal are the names of the lakes which have been kept after the characters of the Hindu Mythology.

Butterfly Museum - Founded by Federic Smetacek, also famous as the ‘butterfly man’, Butterfly Museum is a very attractive attraction of this place. The Museum is situated in the location of Sattal Methodist Ashram itself and houses 2500 species of butterflies and 1100 species of insects. Subhash Dhara – If Time Permits the visit this beautiful natural spring of pure water that gushes from the intensive west oak forests of Sattal. Its sparkling clear water is a big attraction. The tourists flock the place in pursuit of picturesque views of the natural spring.

Return back to the hotel in afternoon. Rest of the day free to do some Adventure activities near the Sattal lake (Can be Organized on direct payment basis).

Day 3: Sattal - Delhi Departure (296 kms / approximately 8 hours)

In the morning after breakfast check out and depart for Delhi.
You will be transferred to the airport / railway station in time to proceed to your onward destination.

    Cancellation Policy

  • In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
    60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Tour / service cost
    45 days prior to arrival: 20% of the Tour / service cost
    15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Tour / service cost
    07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour / service cost
  • Less than 72 hours or No Show: No Refund In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
  • Refund Policy:
    Refund against Partial Payment: You will get Credit (less applicable fees) for refund amount which will remain valid for 6 months from the date of refund approved.
    Refund against Full Payment: Approved refund amount (less applicable fees) will be credited to your bank account within 3-5 working days.
    Note: Processing fees: Rs. 650/- will be deducted in all such refund cases.
  • Some cancellation and refund policies are out of our tender: Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
  • Our Liabilities & Limitations: Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
  • Law & Jurisdiction: For all complaints, suits, claims or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by Touristlink.com, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of Court of Nagpur.
