Meet at the magnificent Chatrapati Shivali Terminus, a bustling Victorian Gothic railway station that is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Then take a short taxi ride through streets flanked by beautiful Indo-Saracenic buildings and monuments that are a throwback to an era of dapper English Sahibs and elegant Memsahibs. As you arrive at the majestic Gateway of India, you will see how this icon of the city stands in full glory against the blue sea, dotted with colourful bobbing fishing boats and gleaming yachts.
From the Gate, a breezy ride through the famous Marine Drive will transport you to the centre of Hindu religion. Sitting on top of a hill is the 200-year-old Shiva temple, Babulnath. Devout Hindus can be seen carrying milk and water to pour over the Linga, the creative symbol that denotes Lord Shiva.
A short ride from Babulnath takes us to the heart of Muslim piety.
Splashes of colour and aromas that are distinct to Mumbai greet you when you reach the unique Dhobi Ghat, Mumbai’s famous open-air laundry, you can witness a multitude of colourful garments being washed and pummelled on flogging stones
