South coast and Thórsmörk

Begin this tour by driving over the mountain heath Hellisheiði towards Selfoss town and then along the south shore to Seljalandsfoss waterfall. From there the journey continues towards the interior to our main attraction, Þórsmörk (i.e. Thor’s Woodland), a nature reserve shielded on three sides by glaciers and mountains. There are the glacial melt-off form rivers that have to be crossed on the way, but those can change in a matter of hours froms an innocent stream into a thunderous torrent.

Bus terminal at Laekjartorg, Hafnarstraeti 20, in Reykjavik centre. Customers must be at the meeting point 30 min before the departure of the tour. If customers want to be picked up at the hotel (in Reykjavik only) they must call 24 hours before in order to reconfirm pick up time
