Scattered all along the sun-drenched coast of Ghana, it’s hard to conceive that these constructions brought oppression and enslavement to many people in a place so beautiful. Take time to explore the dungeons and artifacts of Ussher and James Forts while hearing the incredible stories and legends born from this time in history. There are many heroes and villains that played roles in the trade of human cargo, so take the time to soak up as much knowledge as possible while at the site of where it all took place - these forts are like a living history book.

Your Accra city tour will conclude at the recently restored Brazil House Museum of Slavery, which is reported to be the first architectural building built by Afro-Brazilian slaves in Ghana.
