The Berlin Zoo is home to almost 14,000 animals, most notably the world famous polar bear, Knut! Founded in 1844, this was the first zoo to be built in Germany and it remains the largest in the country. Wander around the zoo admiring the hundreds of species the zoo has to offer. Meeting/ Pick-up point: Departure point at Kurfürstendamm/corner to Rankestraße and Alexanderplatz (in the Alexanderstreet directly in front of the main entrance of the Park Inn Hotel).
Duration: The tour lasts 2.5 hours approx plus the Zoo visit 3.5 hours.
Start or opening time: From April to October; between 10am and 6pm (4pm last departure) Friday and Saturday until 7pm. From November to March; between 10am and 5pm (3pm last departure), daily.
End or closing time: Close out dates: 07/04, 29/09, 22/06, 29/09, 03/10, 09/06, 30/09, 24/12.
