Ski tour in Georgia

With its southern aspect ensuring plentiful sunshine the whole year round, its altitude and latitude also guarantee a healthy snow-cover for the whole ski season of December to mid-April.
The main downhill runs at Gudauri operate between 2000 and 3000m — with a total length of 16km. For experienced skiers, Gudauri provides all four types of ski runs: slalom, slalom-giant, super and speed skiing. The average depth of snow-cover of the slopes is 1,5 metres.
There are five (3or 4 seat) comfortable ski chair lifts constructed by the Austrian company Doppelmayer. The low station of the first ski-lift is located just behind the hotel at an altitude of 2000m. Ski lifts stations are between 2000m and 3250m.

Bakuriani is Georgia’s year-round mountain playground and was Georgia’s first ski resort. The area became famous in the 19th century when the Romanov family developed the area into a game reserve and mountain retreat. They even hired Gustave Eiffel to design a bridge for a narrow-gauge railway up to its verdant pastures. There the Russian aristocracy enjoyed abundant coniferous forests, crystal clear air and breath-taking views.
Extensive sunshine, a high mountainous climate, average snowfall, 12 ski tracks of different difficulty, spectacular views, the renowned Georgian cuisine, and family atmosphere – all of this makes the winter spent here unforgettable!
The skiing season lasts from December until as late as mid-April.

We offer a 7-day winter experience of Georgia, including skiing, snowboarding, snow biking – even paragliding if you are so inclined. You would spend 3 days in Gudauri and 2 days in Bakuriani, in the heart of the High Caucasus, in a mountain scenery that dwarfs most of the Alps and offers stupendous winter sports opportunities.
After your flights arrive in Georgia, we would take you or your group straight from the airport to Gudauri, for immediate enjoyment of the resort. After Gudauri, we will take a small excursion to Macheta, Uplistsikhe and Gori with beautiful fortresses and churches on the way to Bakuriani. On the last day we invite you to visit Tbilisi, the charming ancient capital of Georgia. You will also enjoy the famous sulphur baths of Tbilisi; to clean, relax and refresh yourself.
