Skip the Line: Tour of the Palace and Gardens of Versailles with Fountain Show (Spring to Fall)

There is a certain magic that circulates through the air in the Palace and Gardens of Versailles. Hidden away from the modern world, this majestic European castleon the outskirts of Parisis a perfect example of the reckless extravagance of the French monarchy. This is Paris life at its most luxurious and just as you imagined it with gold brushed furniture, quilted four-poster beds and lush rolling lawns that stretch as far as the eye can see. With a maximum of 20 people per group, your tour of Versailles will be intimate and enjoyable.Your English-speaking guide will meet you in Versailles and lead you through the Gardens and Palace. We will Skip the Line via pre-booked entrance to Versailles and your guide will navigate with you from one marvelous room to the next, pointing out where Louis XIV tormented his friends and family with long, boring ceremonies and where it was that Marie Antoinette ate her cake. Stand in awe at the imposing size of the Palace of Versailles, one of the largest and most beautiful castlesin the world with a whopping 700 rooms. Marvel its incredible array of fine artand the intricate design of its 1250 fireplacesas you work your way through the highlights of the castleincluding the King and Queen’s apartments, the Chapel, the Coronation Room, the Hall of Mirrorsand the Salon of Abundance– how many residences can boast one of those? This list of rooms yourguide will show you goes on and on, each one an entirely different and unique experience from the Peace Roomto the Queen’s bedchamber. And just when you think that you have seen all that the Palace of Versailleshas to offer, you’ll burst intothe sunlight and encounter its dazzling manicured gardens, over 1,800 acresin size. On Thursdays we’ll give you a tour of the gardens and give you some free time to wander – but we suggest choosing a date when either the famous Versailles Fountain Show or Musical Gardensare running (all running days except Thursday).

This tour operates on Tuesdays only from May 21, 2013 to June 25, 2013. Otherwise please book this tour on a Saturday or Sunday.


From 15th April 2013 the new meeting time and point is: 

Meeting Time: 01:55 PM with a strict departure time of 2:05 PM

Meeting Point:  You will meet your guide at the large statue of an elephant, directly in front of the entrance to the Musee d’Orsay, Paris.  The statue/entrance is located on the courtyard situated between Quai Anatole France and Rue de la Legion d’Honneur, close to the entrance for the RER C- stop Musee d’Orsay. Your guide will be holding a sign.
