This tour, starting  in the Loire Valley near the city of Tours aims to discover the highlight of this region.

CHAMBORD : built for King Francois Ist. As a hunting lodge, One of the first Renaissance château built in France. CHENONCEAU : spanned over the River Cher, the Ladies' château, was built in traditional Renaissance style in 1519, Meet the Ladies of Chenonceau ; Catherine Briconnet who supervised the construction site ; Diane de Poitier, the King's mistress ; The mighty Queen of France, Catherine de Medicis ; Louise de Lorraine, Henri III 'widow ; Madame Dupin who saved the château from destruction during the French Revolution and Madame Pelouze who restored this marvel to its full glory...

CHINON : meet a 1000 years history in this lovely medieval town. The mighty  count of Anjou, Foulque Nerra, the Black Falcon, ancestor of Kings of England, Henry II Plantagenet, Richard The Lionheart, King john, Also during the Hundred Years War, Joan of Arc met the King of France thus marking the turn of the war...

AMBOISE : its name in Latin, Ambacia means between two rivers, the Loire on one side, the Amasse on the other, the château of Amboise is regarded as the very first expression of the Renaissance in France, Several Kings of France lived here, Charles VIII was born and died in the château. After is victory in Marignano, Italy, Francois Ist. Invited  Leonardo Da Vinci in Amboise. The great master spent the last 3 years of his life in a manor nearby named Clos Luce. According to his wishes he was buried in the church of the château in 1519.
