Ethiopia, with it's fabulous over 3000 years' history, diverse people and cultures, and with its magnificent scenery embracing every landform from high mountain plateau to sere deserts, is a paradise.

In this tour you will explore the source of the famous Blue Nile (whose locale name Abay and biblical name is Gihon, Gen. 2:13), a boat trip to Ethiopia’s largest lake, Lake Tana and its island monasteries vegetated with Coffee Arabica ( Coffee is Ethiopia’s gift to the world. It is the birth place of Coffee Arabica, named after the then Arab caravan traders who introduced coffee to the rest of the world,) three sites of 6th BC, 4th AD and 17th AD, 19 churches of 4th AD, 12th AD and 14th AD, while trekking at Semien Mts. N.Park with stunning view of the age old escarpment and the gorges, beautiful flora and fauna with surprisingly different cultural and topographical changes will be observed. Also during this tour five out of eight Ethiopia’s world heritage sites listed by UNESCO will be extensively explored.

In this tour you will explore; Lalibela rock hewn churches (the African Jerusalem), Axum (Axum - The home of ancient civilization), Lake Tana(the home of monasteries) and Gondar - the Royal capital of Ethiopia.

Day 1: Arrival and City tour of the Capital

Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel then City tour City tour includes visiting deferent parts of Addis Ababa (which means New flower in Ethiopian official language Amharic) the world's third highest capital at an altitude of 2400m, founded by Emperor Menilik II in 1887, with the headquarters of AU (African Union), ECA (economic commission for Africa), many International Organizations over 105 Embassies and with its 4million habitants makes Addis Ababa metropolitan city which is declared as a capital city of Africa. We will take you to mount Entoto, a green and peaceful hill that is 3,000metres (9,842 ft.) high above sea level and provides an exceptional panoramic view over the capital city below. We will then visit the Entoto Maryam Church, a typical building with its octagonal shape and colors, as well as Menelik II Museum. After lunch Ethnographic Museum & National Museums which are the best of their type in Africa, after lunch Mercato, the largest open air market in Africa.

Day 2: Early flight Addis to Axum, hotel

Getting there: - Visit the surroundings of the mysterious ancient city of Axum.
Sightseeing: - Axum is one of the nine world heritage sites recorded from Ethiopia by UNISCO. Axum is a small city which has an important historical significance in Ethiopian history. The first historical evidence of the kingdom of Axum starts around the 3rd century BC, when the Egyptian-influenced state of Meroe was flourishing near modern-day Shendi in Sudan. Axum gradually grew in power and conquered not only Meroe but also the Kingdoms in southern Arabia, profiting from the trade in silk and spices from India to Europe via the Red Sea. Some idea of Axum’s contemporary importance is given by the 3rd century Persian writer called Manni, who listed it as one of the four great kingdoms in the world, along with Persia, China and Roman. Axumites had a unique language called Geez, with a script somehow similar to Sabaen alphabet, also Semitic, is still in use at the liturgy. Tigrigna, Agewegna and the official language at present “Amharicâ€
