Giza or Gizah is a city on the west bank of the river Nile. It's famous for the Gizah Plateau where you will find some of the most impressive ancient monuments in the world, including a complex of ancient Egyptian royal mortuary and sacred structures, including the Great Sphinx, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and a number of other large pyramids and temples.

I will guide you through some of the busiest streets of Giza; you will be surrounded on all sides by honking, bumper-to-bumper traffic. . . Then suddenly - without warning, you see the Pyramids, right before your eyes - and you not only know where you are, you feel it too. It is the contrast between the old and new, and the ease with which Egyptians breach the gap, that I find most amazing.
