Once we arrive in Luxor (the modern name of Thebes), we'll cross the Nile to the West Bank to visit the famedValley of the Kings,. This incredible complex of 63 tombs of Pharaos dates back nearly 4000 years, and is an impressive site to behold. The royal tombs are decorated with scenes from Egyptian mythology and give clues to the beliefs and funerary rituals of the period. Next we'll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most successful women rulers of all time. From here we'll visit the Colossi of Memnon, the two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
We'll Drive back to the East Bank where we'll have the chance to enjoy a local lunch and freshen up. Finally we'll visit the Karnak temple, and you will Also visit alabaster factories and a papyrus bazaar.
