If you have a connection in Cairo and you would like to see Cairo's best heritage, this tour is meant for you. I will pick up at Cairo airport, show you around the city and take you back to the airport at the end of the tour.
You will see the Pyramids and the Sphinx, the best tourist attractions in the entrie city. You will visit the Great Pyramid of king Khufu, the only wonder of the ancient world still standing. This pyramid is made up of more than two million stone blocks weighing around six million tons. You will also visit the enigmatic Sphinx, the man-headed lion-god guarding the Sphinx since the 3rd millenium BC. You would not visit the Pyramids and not go across the Sahara desert by means of a camel/carriage. It's really good fun! Plus this is where you have the best view and where you can take the best photos. A camel/carriage ride across the Sahara desert makes your visit to the Pyramids and the Sphinx complete.
After our visit to the Pyramids, we will have lunch in a local restaurant trying the Egyptian mouth-watering food such as teheeny, hoummous, pita bread, falafel, kebab and kufta. Local food is certainly part of the fun.
At the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, you will see the best artefacts ever made by the Pharaohs including the breath-taking collection of the famous boy king Tutankamon. You will see the exquisite Golden Mask, made of pure gold and inlaid with semi-preciou stones like lapis lazuli and turquoise. Besides, you will have the chance to see the incredible mummies which still have finger nails, teeth, hair and tissue.
At the Grand Bazzar you can get yourself some beautiful souvenir bartering with the locals. You can also have a refreshing cup of tea and even try the Egyptian water-piepe «the Shisha». When in Rome, you do as the Romans do !
