El-Wahat el-Bahariya or el-Bahariya consists of many villages of which el-Bawiti is the largest and the administrative center Qasr is el-Bawiti's neighboring/twin village To the east, about ten kilometers away are the villages of Mandishah and el-Zabu A smaller village called el-'Aguz lies between el-Bawiti and Mandishah. Move to pay a visit to Mummies Hall, the Golden mummies were discovered in 1996 when a donkey belonging to antiquities guard on duty at the nearby Temple of Alexander got its foot caught in a hole The donkey eventually freed itself but its owner, Abd El Maugud, notified the Antiquities authority and thus the first golden Mummies were discovered
After that, see Temple of Ain El Muftella which was once the main water source of the old capital of the oasis Visit the ruin on a hill, the English House, at sunset and enjoy the panoramic view In the evening, visit the village and shops
