In 1978 Quito was declared a “Cultural Heritage of the World” by UNESCO. Our guide will take you to the downtown. You will visit the “National Basilica”, the “Independence Square” located in the Historical Centre with its churches and monuments, then the “Compañía de Jésus” church and “San Francisco” square. Later, we continue to the northest of Quito where we will visit “Intiñan” an interactive museum where you will see some experiments that proves that over there is the centre of the Earth, and you will be able to stand on the 0º 00’ 00’’ latitude or equator line.
