Day 1: Arrive in Quito

Welcome to Quito. Our driver will be at the airport when you arrive and transfer you to your hotel. Quito lies in the foothills of the Andes at 2850m (9350 ft) and its historic colonial center is well worth visiting if you arrive earlier in the day. We will have a briefing for the group later in the afternoon at the hotel to go over trip details and plans.

Day 2: Quito to Galapagos (Isla San Cristobal)

Our driver will pick you up in the morning and drop you to the airport for the early morning flight to Isla San Cristobal (3.5 hours). When you arrive in the Galapagos your guide will meet you at the airport and, after a short debriefing at the hotel, we will spend the day snorkeling and sunbathing with curious sea lions on the beach "La Loberia". Enjoy seeing species endemic to the Galapagos such as marine iguanas and Darwin?s finches.

Day 3: Isla San Cristobal (Kicker Island)

We will catch a boat to Kicker Rock, an eroded lava cone turned snorkeling haven, for our next underwater destination. Spend the day swimming with flashy rainbow fish, hammerheads, and white tip sharks in the crystal clear waters. After lunch there will be time to relax on the beach before returning to the hotel for the evening to relax.

Day 4: Isabela Island

The next morning?s boat ride takes us to the most volcanically active island in the archipelago, Isabela Island. In the afternoon, we will explore the island?s uniquely beautiful coastline of white sand beaches, mangrove forests and lagoons by bike. All the while spotting the flamingos, giant tortoises and sea lions that this extraordinary ecosystem supports. For the perfect end to our day?s exploration we will catch the sunset at the paradiscial Puerto Villamil before retiring to dinner.

Day 5: Isabela Island (Snorkel Lava Tunnels)

Discover Isabela island?s amazing labyrinth of lava formations, chock full of eagle rays, sea lions and sharks. The breathtaking volcanic arches, created by the island?s last eruptions, are located just offshore. Follow the turtles through the mangroves and watch penguins dart around this natural marine playground while enjoying this premier snorkeling destination. Consider also taking time to visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center or lounge on Isabela's soft white beaches.

Day 6: Hike Sierra Negra (Kayak & Snorkel Tintoreras)

After spending the first part of the morning reaching the lava filled rim of the Sierra Negra Crater, we will have the option to continue onto Volcan Chico. A landscape of smoking vents and colorful lava formations. After descending from the craters, we will kayak the crystalline waters of Tintoreras and appreciate the spellbinding sea life there.

Day 7: Santa Cruz Island (Charles Darwin Research Center)

Upon disembarking the speed boat from Isabela Island, we will check into the hotel and make a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Center. After learning about the endemic species and the island?s conservation efforts, we will journey into the highlands of El Chato. This tortoise reserve is a fantastic place to observe these graceful giants among other spectacular wildlife. We will return in the evening to Puerto Ayora -the Galapagos most populous town!

Day 8: Santa Cruz Island (Option to Dive)

This day is given to you to carve out your own itinerary! Whether that be scuba diving, doing a hike to Tortuga Bay to see the nesting site of thousands of marine turtles, or visiting Floreana or Bartolome Islands -enjoy the day as you see fit!

Day 9: Departure to Quito

After a final sunrise and breakfast on the islands, it will be time to make our way back to the mainland. Take a few more photos of the ubiquitous sea lions before our driver transfers you to the Seymour airport.

Day 10: International Departure

It's your last day in Quito! Enjoy your breakfast and according to your flight time, we'll make sure you arrive at Quito International Airport with plenty of time before your flight home.
