Galapagos 7 Day Adventure

This tour offers one of the best ways to see and experience Ecuador's Galapagos Islands. Our complete package starts and ends in Quito and includes your domestic flight fare. Starting from Quito we will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel for the evening. The next day we will take a morning flight to Baltra and from there a fast boat to Isabela the largest island of the Galapagos is known for its wildlife, beautiful beaches and volcanic activity. The following day we will have the opportunity to snorkel the Galapagos Lava Tunnels, a maze of lava tunnels which are home to giant sea turtles, reef sharks and sea lions. The next day we will stay on Isabela and hike up to Volcan Chico for a closer look at the active volcanic crater and some great views of the island from Sierra Negra. Following our hike we will have time for snorkeling the crystal clear waters of Tintoreras Islet which is home to white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos Penguins, marine turtles and sea lions. The following morning we will head to Isla Santa Cruz for a visit to the Darwin Conservation Center and a chance to hike with the giant Galapagos Tortoises. Our last night in the Galapagos will be at Puerto Ayora and the next morning we will fly back to Quito where we will have one last night before departing for our international flight.

Day 1: Arrive in Quito

Welcome to Quito! Our driver will be at the airport when you arrive and transfer you to your hotel. Quito lies in the foothills of the Andes at 2850m (9350 ft) and its historic colonial center is well worth visiting if you arrive earlier in the day. We will have a briefing for the group later in the afternoon at the hotel to go over trip details and plans.

Day 2: Quito to Galapagos (Isla Isabela)

Our driver will pick you up in the morning and drop you to the airport for the early morning flight to Baltra (2 hours). When you arrive in the Galapagos your guide will meet you at the airport and we will head to Puerto Ayora where we will catch the fast boat to Isabela. Isabela is the largest of the islands of the Galapagos and one of the most volcanically active islands on the planet. We will spend the night at the Cormorant which lies right in front of the Puerto Villamil beach.

Day 3: Isla Isabela - Visit Galapagos Lava Tunnels

After breakfast we will head to the Galapagos Lava Tunnels. We can snorkel among the maze of lava tunnels which are home to giant sea turtles, reef sharks and sea lions. In the afternoon you will have free time to enjoy the beach or visit the giant tortoise-breeding centre.

Day 4: Isla Isabela - Sierra Negra Hike & Snorkel Tintoreras

Today starts with a quick drive to the Sierra Negra trailhead for a hike up to the crater rim and onwards to Volcan Chico is a great place to see some volcanic activity including steaming fumaroles and multi-colored lava formations.

During the afternoon we will arrange for snorkeling at Tintoreras Islet which is home to white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos Penguins, marine turtles and sea lions.

Day 5: Isla Isabela to Isla Santa Cruz (Visit Darwin Research Station)

Today we will journey by fast boat from Isabela to the Island of Santa Cruz. Our first stop on Santa Cruz will be to the Charles Darwin Research Station where we can learn about some of the wildlife we have seen and what is being done to conserve the ecology. In the afternoon we will head to the 'El Chato' Reserve for a short hike and to see the Galapagos tortoise. It's possible to get up close and get some great photos of these giant tortoises. We will spend the night in Puerto Ayora and you will have time to explore the largest town of the Galapagos.

Day 6: Baltra Airport to Quito

We will have breakfast before heading to the airport to catch our flight back to Quito. On arrival back in Quito we will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free for exploring the city.

Day 7: Depart Quito

We will drop you to the airport for your departure flight.
