Nicosia past and present

The Nicosia Past and Present tour gives you a first hand on idea and orientation of the last divided capital of Europe.  

We begin our visit with a stop at the Handicraft Center, in which you can see the various workshops and the proffessions of the past.  Visit the pottery workshop, the traditional costumes, lace making, leather items, wood curving and many more.

We then continue by passing by the Presidential Palace and we approach the Old Town with a visit to the Nicosia Archaeological Museum that presents artifacts from the 8,500 B.C to 500 A.D.  One of the very few museums in the world that presents artifacts found in its own country.  We drive alongside the Venetian Walls of Nicosia and we take a walk to see the main Pedestrian streets of the Old City,  Free time available for lunch, for coffee, refreshments, shopping, strolling and photo taking.

We continue later to go to the Archbishop's Palace with a visit to the Cathedral of Saint John.  After, we visit the icon museum and we meet at the Statue of Liberty for photo taking and return back to our resorts.

For your info:  Choice of longer free time and shopping time is available for those of you who wish to spend some more time in the old town. Just inform me ahead and we collect you after the visit to the Archbishop's palace.
