The Akamas Peninsula National Park at the north-western extremity of the Cyprus is a virgin wilderness, home to a large variety of flora and fauna, including several endemic species. The best way to explore this mountain vastness is by all-terrain vehicle and on this full-day tour you'll bump down dirt tracks through vast forests, past rushing waterfalls surrounded by rugged mountain peaks and hidden valleys.

We'll pick up you from your hotel at around 08.30 and head for the hills in a convoy of 4X4 vehicles driven by our team of experienced local drivers. The mountains are carpeted with numerous wild flowers in the springtime and if you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of the elusive Griffon Vulture and Cyprus Warbler.

Discover the dramatic Avgas Gorge, with its sheer limestone walls towering high above you. Explore pristine Lara Bay, home to a breeding station and sanctuary for the endangered loggerhead turtle and learn all about this protected species. Stroll around the traditional fishing village of Latchi and then pay a visit to the famed Baths of Aphrodite where legend has it that the waters have magical rejuvenating properties. We'll arrive back at your hotel at around 17.30.
