The wild and rugged Akamas Peninsula can really only be explored by 4WD. You will have the chance to discover the dramatic Avgas Gorge with its lime stone walls. This is a haven for wildlife, especially in the spring, with over 168 different species of birds, animals and plants. Visit Lara Bay, home to the breeding station for the protected Green Back Turtles. On the way back, pass through Latchi to visit the Baths of Aphrodite, where fable has it that the waters have magical rejuvenating properties.
