During this drive, we will take You on a circuit around the hills and heights above Dubrovnik. Stopping at three view points along the way, You will be driven up the Srd hill (415 meters above the Old Town).

The mountain Srd was always a kind of protector for Dubrovnik, primary against the strong wind Bura but also against several attackers who many times tried to capture the Dubrovniker Republic. Srd and the small places just under it were a front line and home to one of the fiercest battles of the `91-`95 Croatian War of Independence. In the Imperial fort, just on the top of Srd, one can visit a museum with lot of documentation, photos, topics from the past of the fort and the last attack of this area.
Earlier, the mountain Srd was grove over by oak trees, which was called „Dubrava“. This is how Dubrovnik got its name.
Srd hill’s peak offers unbeatable views down into the city, Zupa Dubrovacka valley and across the Adriatic Sea to island such as nearby Lokrum, the Elaphite isles and beyond.
