Vacationing in Costa Rica can be described as visiting the best amusement park because of the variety of options in so beautiful a setting without the long lines. Whether enjoying your favorite pastimes or trying something new, Costa Rica provides a special background.
Day 1 - Arrival
Private arrival transfer to your hotel in San José.
Night in San José, according to chosen option.
Day 2 - Poas Volcano, Doka coffee plantation and the rural towns of Sarchí and Grecia
Breakfast. One day tour to Poas Volcano, Doka coffee plantation and Sarchí and Grecia, rural towns.
To get to the different attractions included during this tour, we will drive by the city of Alajuela passing by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park.
As we ascend towards the Poás Volcano we will notice the change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape. The Poas is one of the most spectacular volcanoes of the country, with its enormous crater measuring one kilometer in diameter and 314 meters deep. Next visit will be Doka Coffee Estate, authentic coffee plantation, where you will learn about the careful process involved on the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the Golden Bean. We will be visiting Grecia and its famous metal church architecture and Sarchi, the "cradle of Costa Rican handicrafts". Lunch included.

Day 3 - Irazu Volcano, Lankester Gardens and Orosi Valley
Breakfast. One day tour to Irazu Volcano, Lankester Gardens and Orosi Valley.
The province of Cartago offers three of the foremost attractions combined in this tour. Appreciate the majesty of the imposing Irazu Volcano, delight yourself with the exotic orchids in the Lankester Gardens and observe the panoramic beauty of the Orosi Valley.
Irazu Volcano is the highest active volcano in Costa Rica. It is easily visited with a road leading right up to the summit crater, just an hour and a half from San Jose. It is a strato volcano with a summit elevation of 3,432 meters (11,260 ft.). The volcano's summit has several craters, one of which contains Diego de la Haya, a greenish yellow crater lake of variable depth. From the top, it is possible to see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans on a clear day. However, such clear days are very rare indeed, and it is typical for the volcano's summit to be covered in cloud for much of the time. The route to get to Irazu will take you through some of the most significant agricultural areas of Costa Rica, thanks to the richness of the soil produced by the volcanic ashes. Lunch included.

Day 4 - San José - Arenal
Breakfast. Morning private transfer to Arenal region. San Carlos offers a landscape of exceptional beauty with its forests, lagoons, fields of crops, rivers with hot springs, and the most active volcano of Costa Rica: Arenal. In other words, sanctuaries where one can breathe peace, purity and the majestic power of nature.

Day 5 - Arenal
Breakfast. Guided visit to Arenal Hanging Bridges. Located within the corridor followed by birds migrating between North and South America, the trails and bridges of this project will bring the visitor as close as any person could ever imagine observing the birds, the flowers and the lush vegetation of the primary rainforest. It is a 250‐hectares primary‐forest property, made of paths and bridges built to maintain the utmost harmony between man‐made structures and nature. The property has impressive views to Arenal Volcano and to the lake that feeds the largest hydroelectric plant in Costa Rica.
This walk is a fun and educative option to learn more about the forest and the local environment and enjoy the close contact with nature. While walking along the trails, the fascinating world of the tropical forest will open to you. Along these three kilometers of trails, visitors will be immersed in the diverse fauna and flora of this rainforest admiring colorful birds and tropical plant species. More than 50 species of birds can be count in this site, one of the most productive bird watching walks of the region. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Day 6 - Arenal - Beach
Breakfast. Morning private transfer to Tango Mar Beach Resort, in Quizales Beach or JW Marriott, in Mansita Beach.

Breakfast. Free days to relax and enjoy the beach or take an optional tour.

Day 9 - Beach - San Jose
Breakfast. Transfer to local airstrip to take a local flight to San Jose. Transfer to hotel.
