Santiago is a city of contrasts. With remnants of its Colonial past to the ultra-modern high-rise buildings of its financial
center, Chile's capital city always has many exciting areas to explore. While in Santiago, stops will be made at the
Santiago Cathedral and the Historical Museum.
Travel south through the downtown area, passing the Club Hipico, a beautiful horseracing track in the older residential
area of the city. You’ll proceed alongside the Parque O'Higgins and past the Cousino Palace that was built between 1870
and 1878 for the wealthy Cousino family. From here continue along the famous Alameda, Santiago's colorful main avenue,
crossing the Mapocho River and the bohemian Bella Vista district on the way to the San Cristobal Hill. When you reach the
summit you will have the finest panoramic views of Santiago and the Andes Mountains.
Tour the modern residential areas of the city with its daring architecture. A brief stop will be made at an elegant Lapis
