Your tour begins from a choice of two departing points on Kangaroo Island: Penneshaw or Kingscote. Travel around in a 4WD vehicle on this small-group tour for captivating scenery and wildlife.
Keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies and reptiles as you wander through several natural habitats mostly protected from introduced predators. Look up in the sky and tall eucalyptus trees to eye some 250 varieties of birds. You'll learn about how many of the feathered friends are unique to the island, and hear a cacophony of bird calls.
Stop to take a guided walk on the sand at Seal Bay Conservation Park, home to one of the world's largest populations of the rare Australian sea lion. Observe the basking mammals as they rest and play on the beach after a hard day's work of fishing at sea.
Continue to an exclusive natural bush land property, where a gourmet picnic lunch is served with wine. Relax after lunch with a bush walk or stroll along a beach. From there, you'll be transported to the island's north coast. Stay alert on your ride: You might see koalas and echidnas along the way.
Take a bush walk on the north coast beach, and perhaps spy the tammar wallaby or hear the call of the rare Kangaroo Island glossy black cockatoo.
As the day draws to a close, see kangaroos emerge from their daytime bush retreats to graze the open pastures at dusk as you return to your chosen drop-off point on Kangaroo Island.
