Private Tour: Amalfi Coast by Vintage Fiat 600 from Sorrento

Cruise the breathtaking Amalfi Coast in style on this private tour by vintage Fiat 600. From Sorrento, your guide will drive you along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed coastline in a classic, stylish Italian car, stopping in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello to soak up the picturesque scenery filled with whitewashed villas, fortified palaces, splendid gardens, medieval cobblestone streets and postcard-worthy views of the Mediterranean.

You'll be picked up from your Sorrento hotel in the morning. Hop into a vintage Fiat 600 and relax as your guide takes you on a scenic drive along the characteristic curves of the Amalfi Coast, a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage-listed coastline stretching 31 miles (50 km) along the southern side of Italy's Sorrentine Peninsula.
Stop in several coastal towns to explore by foot, sightsee, take photos and enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. First, spend some time in the town of Sorrento, a popular tourist destination overlooking the Bay of Naples with Naples, Capri and Mt Vesuvius in the distance.

Then venture down the coastline, turning heads as you ride in a classic, beloved Italian car. Marvel at incredible views of colorful buildings, villas and palaces anchored into the hillside overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean - a quintessential scene straight from a postcard!
Your next stop is Positano, perhaps the coast's most picturesque town, with steeply stacked houses cascading down to the ocean. During your time here, you'll start to understand why famous author John Steinbeck described Positano as "...a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone."
About an hour into your tour, stop for coffee and cake (included) before continuing along the coast to Amalfi. This town was once the capital of the maritime republic of Duchy of Amalfi, an important trading power in the Mediterranean in the 9th and 10th centuries.
Head to nearby Pogerola around 1:30pm for a classic Italian lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). Your next stop is Ravello, a beautiful town perched high on a hill overlooking Amalfi. Wrap yourself up in the romantic, otherworldly atmosphere of this refined, polished town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its splendid gardens and amazing views.
You have the choice of visiting either Villa Cimbrone or Villa Rufolo, equally beautiful and noteworthy in their own right. Villa Cimbrone, once a farmhouse and now a luxury hotel villa, is situated on a cliff with vistas over the Gulf of Salerno. Villa Rufolo is a 13th-century ledge-hugging palace built by one of the richest Patricians of Ravello, whose gardens served as an inspiration for Richard Wagner's famous opera Parsifal.
You'll also visit the Emerald Grotto, a brilliantly lit emerald cave located in Cape Conca, before cruising back up the Amalfi Coast to Sorrento, where your tour ends.
