Launceston City Sightseeing Tour

Fall in love with Launceston’s natural and historic charm on this morning sightseeing tour. This is a great introduction to Tasmania’s second largest city. As you pass though Launceston’s elegant Victorian streets, take in the historic architecture and visit all the major sites including Boag’s Brewery, Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery and City Park.

Launceston is nestled on a ravine in a steep valley beside the Tamar River. Known for its natural beauty and historic charm, Launceston has become an emerging art and cultural centre. On your tour you will visit Inversek, the cultural heart of the city and home to the impressive Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. Take in the scenery of the beautiful City Park with its dazzling array of flowers, Japanese Macaque monkey enclosure and the John Hart Conservatory.

Within walking distance to the city is the impressive Cataract Gorge, with its magnificent vistas and home to more than 70 species of native flora and fauna. The Gorge, as the locals call it, is a rare and unique natural formation within the city, with stunning views over the city and plenty of great opportunities.
