Your city tour begins as you travel back in time to the streets of Ushuaia’s historical La Mission neighborhood, the area chosen by the first colonial settlers. You'll continue through the Brown and Solier districts, built by the first immigrants at the beginning of the 20th century. During this time, the city was built around a once-active prison intended for Argentina’s most serious criminals.
Stroll past old homes important to the local culture of Argentina. You’ll see several famous homes of Argentina's political elite including the family homes of the Bebans, Pastorizas, Cangas, Fiques, Salomons, Ramos, as well as the Provincial Legislature and the old government home. As the tour continues, you'll learn about the incredible recent growth that took place with the arrival of the new settlers of the 1980s, transforming Ushuaia into the city it is today.
Included are guided visits to the Ushuaia Maritime Museum, the Old Prison of Ushuaia and the End of the World Museum.
