Discover the nature and secrets of the pirinées mountains with these excursions. LOW AND MEDIUM ALTITUDE MOUNTAIN ITINERARIES: straightforward excursions involving little in the way of ascents and adhering to valley bottoms. Open to all participants. Notable features include the specific elements of the transhumance, livestock, flora, fauna and vegetation, wood, iron, a visit to valley-bottom mountain shelters and the stone huts (Orris) of the valleys of the Principality. Excursions last for a maximum of 4 hours. Visits to the Sorteny Valley Natural Park to discover the valley's special flora, fauna and vegetation (3-hour excursion) or a visit to the El Madriu Valley, a heritage of humanity site. HIGH-ALTITUDE MOUNTAIN ITINERARIES: Intermediate and high-level excursions involving ascents of between 400 and 1500 metres. Notable features include ascents to all mountain peaks and crossings through the valleys of the Principality, discovering glacial cirques and lakes, plus the flora and fauna of the valleys. Duration of between 6 and 8 hours.
